It is a very calm morning. No wind and some fog – this is perfect weather for cruising and we wish we were on our way. Instead, we are drinking coffee and waiting for a guy to show up and splice some line onto our anchor chain. It’s going to happen sometime today – let’s hope it’s early. We have diesel, gasoline, and water on board. So many spare parts! We have so much food on board – we rented a car and went to the Costco on the mainland. Most of our food is shelf stable, which is not how we eat at home. We have enough for about 3 months. Once we get far north, it is a couple weeks between supply stops. Most of those stops are at very small marinas run by native tribes and they don’t have much for sale.

We went for a walk last evening to the top of a large hill – Cap Sante. This is the view of our marina from up there, marking our boat slip.

Dear Janice. Good job starting the blog! More effort than we thought it would be.
Love, Norm
