They let us in!

It’s been a busy and long two days! We did get off our dock in Anacortes on Wednesday afternoon about 4:30. It was a calm and beautiful day. We made it to Parks Bay, WA. Just across from Friday Harbor on San Juan Is. It put us in a good position to enter Canada. Our goal was to leave at 6:30 this morning – that didn’t happen. It was a good two hour cruise to Bedwell Harbor, which is on S Pender Is. This is in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia.

I would like to show you a picture of us clearing customs – which was so easy – but the wind had kicked up and it was an UGLY landing of our vessel. However, no bumps or scratches! After clearing customs, we motored about 2 hours north and landed in Ganges Harbor. The have a community dock that you can use for free for 2 hours. Just enough time to go to the grocery store – for all the fresh veggies and fruit that you’re not allowed to bring across the border. And ice cream!

The we motored another hour and a half and anchored in Montegue Harbor, at about 4:30. I was exhausted! Norm made dinner – Thank You! I napped. We have now made our breakfast, lunch and snacks for tomorrow, because we will be departing at 5:30 a.m. and will cruise until dinner time. A long day. We will be transiting Gabriola Passage at 8:50 a.m; needing to transit that passage at slack current.
