Strait of Georgia – A Very Long Day

Well, we’re in the middle of our day. It’s only noon and we hauled anchor at 6 am. Last night we made all the food for today: overnight oats, egg salad sandwiches and a greek salad.

About 8:30 we transited the Porlier Pass going with 3 knots of current. May not seem like a lot but it was boiling! That dumped us out into the Strait of Georgia. This is very big water, and indeed we had 3′ waves for about 2 hours of our 10 hour cruise. We will be trying for a dock tonight so we can get off the boat and walk!

This Eagle was swimming a long distance.

While we’re cruising we listen to audio books. We both listened to the Death and Life of the Great Lakes and I also finished A Well Behaved Woman. Enjoyed both.
