We got to sleep in and have a lazy, slow morning drinking coffee on the flybridge. Today we’re moving to Blind Channel Resort and will be in a slip. We’ve been there before and it’s one of our favorites.

There are beautiful trails here.

Another Nordic Tug came in and tied up right next to us. Great opportunity to meet new people. We were having a hard time getting the window washer fluid to spray and Norm kept having to go out on the bow – with a life jacket on – and clean salt off the windows. He had been testing circuits and was getting ready to open our dashboard to look for a blown fuse. NOT – the guy on the NT showed us how to activate them – just pushing a button that we didn’t know was there. And Yes, we had read the owners manual.

It’s now Memorial Day morning. We had planned on leaving at sunup – but –it’s blowing 30 knots. I was up all night monitoring the wind meter and just basically watching the storm. It is really amazing – especially great to watch while tied to a dock! Two other boats had planned on leaving and taking the same path as us and they are both still here. It’s supposed to calm down so maybe we will leave later and just not go as far. I’ll let you know later.
In the last day we both finished books. Norm finished The Gales of November by John U Bacon and I finished Theo of Golden by Allen Levi. I cannot recommend Theo of Golden highly enough! It is the best book I have read in a long time. Possibly my favorite!
