Rudyerd Bay, June 15

Awesome and astounding! That is what we are experiencing every day. The mountains and waterfalls are majestic and constantly taking our breath away. We feel very blessed to be able to spend time immersed in nature. It’s been days now since we have seen any other people or boats. We are seeing grizzly bears multiple times every day. Enough to make us think we would not go ashore even if we found a spot!

We are anchored next to this waterfall and have been listening to it all day. Staying for our 2nd night tonight, and I think a 3rd tomorrow. Today it rained all day. It was very interesting watching the mist moving around; and now, the heavy fog has come in and totally enveloped our boat.

This was a great book to listen to while enjoying the Misty Fjords! It’s about learning to be observant and how much you might be missing in your environment. So much wonder and grace all around us!

  1. We felt the same way! (do we really want to go ashore if we have a chance? so many brown bears!) We saw plenty of people do it and survive 😛
