We left Pruth Bay and traveled to Codville Lagoon. We were the only boat and had stunning scenery. We watched two common loons for the entire evening, calling back and forth for each other, and watched an Osprey fishing and getting plenty to eat. The next day we traveled to the community of Shearwater. They were so very friendly! There was a pub that had great food and we were able to fill our water tank. The rain and big wind came in so we stayed 2 days. As we’re traveling north on the inside passage route we keep seeing the same boats. Playing leap frog! The docks ended up being full as everyone came in out of the wind and waves. We were able to share dinner with some new friends!

Entering Codville Lagoon

On our way to Shearwater.

We saw these jet skis on our way into Shearwater. They were really traveling fast! They are making the entire trip up the inside passage from Washington State to Alaska. They are able to go from hotel to hotel. What a rough way to travel – they must be very tuff people!

With an extra day at the docks, we find ourselves studying the charts and currents coming up for the next few days travel.

Loved the photo with the dog in it. What was he wearing?
Those jet ski riders, they must be tough and crazy!
Hi Rich! That is a combination rain coat and life preserver. We have seen the jet ski group a few times now. They ride at about 25 knots! No backrest on those machines. Seems like their bodies must be really sore in the mornings!
