Fry Pan Bay to Pruth Bay

We stayed 2 nights in Fry Pan Bay; lovely. We just relaxed and went for a dinghy ride. This was the entrance to Fry Pan Bay.

On Monday, June 1st we went for a 4 hour, 26 nautical mile cruise and anchored in Pruth Bay. Pruth Bay is home to the Hakai Research Institute. The bay is very large and holds many boats. The Hakai Institute has great docks and allows boaters to tie their dinghies up and access their walking trails. The best trail goes to West Beach. We had heard that it was very beautiful and reminds people of the Caribbean.

As you proceed from the trail onto the beach, the scenery just takes your breath away. Stunning! We found a great spot to sit and share some wine.

This is a picture of the moon rising at 4 a.m. over Pruth Bay.

Jan’s latest book read: Truth and Beauty by Ann Patchett. I enjoyed the read – it’s heavy.
