The San Juan Islands and Puget Sound of Washington are our nautical home. Our boat is berthed in Cap Sante Marina, Port of Anacortes, WA. We are 1.5 hours north of Seattle and 1 hour south of Bellingham, WA. Two hours south of the Canadian border by water. We often cross the border and cruise north to Desolation Sound and the Broughton’s. In 2025 we went south into Puget Sound and visited Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia areas. When we leave our home port in Anacortes we can be gone for any length of time. So far, our longest trip away has been for 4 weeks. We’ve done this 3 times. This year, 2026, we are traveling north and are hoping to go all the way to Ketchikan, Alaska, U.S; about 750 nautical miles. This cruising area is called the Inside Passage of British Columbia. Many people take 3 months to go up and then return south. We will see!
